Debbie Terrell
This
is Debi's third or fourth career change. The profession this time
chose her, she didn't choose the profession. About five
years ago, Debi found herself frozen and wallowing in self
pity because of the pain she was in. After years of
searching for the right doctor to tell her why she was in so
much pain and why she couldn't move,
she met a doctor that told her the only cure was to exercise, eat
right, and get plenty of sleep! She really thought this doctor was
like all the other; crazy and pulling the diagnosis out of a hat.
Debi was diagnosed with fibromyalgia (a non-articular rheumatic
disorder characterized by pain, tenderness, and stiffness of muscles
and associated connective tissue structures.) But this time the
doctor was right. After many hours of physical therapy, and a lot of
hard work in the gym, Debi has turned her life around. She is now in
great health and can deal with the pain that her condition leaves
her with.
Debi graduated in May of 2005 from Lake
Washington Technical College. She has an AAS Degree as a fitness
Specialist. In July of the same year, she received a Certificate as
a Personal Trainer from the American Council of Exercise (ACE). She
also has a certificate with Resist-a-Ball, Heart Zone, and Zumba.
Debi wants to take the
knowledge that she learned through her life from an unhealthy adult
to one that can do anything you put your mind to. It's never too
late to get started. If you are the type that thinks nothing is
going to work for you, or what can I do, I'm too out of shape, talk
to Debi. She can help!
"I want to help people see and feel the benefits
of being healthy through education, exercise
progressions, and goal settings. Let's make the
next stage of life the best stage of life!"
